Rich joined Cakebread Cellars in 2022, bringing a broad and diverse background in retail, wholesale, distribution, and manufacturing businesses ranging in size from $5M to over $500M. His areas of job experience include finance, banking, business intelligence, risk management, IT/logistics, process development and documentation, business development and strategy.

Most recently, Rich was the Chief Executive Officer at Bloom Farms, a San Francisco-based cannabis company. He also held senior financial positions in the aerospace and defense industry and the footwear industry while at the Clarks Companies. Rich was CFO at Wente Family Estates from 2003 to 2008, giving him valuable experience in the family-owned wine business.

Rich began his career in public accounting at KPMG. He is a graduate of Stonehill College in Easton, Massachusetts. When not working, Rich enjoys golfing, skiing, cooking and being outside as much as possible. Rich, a father to four boys, loves to travel and is looking forward to visiting European wine regions with his wife Karen.
